DLNR strongly supported HB No. 1748 and SB No. 1609 (companion measure). Excerpt: "To be consistent with the language of the wildlife statute, we suggest adding the following second sentence in H.B. 1748 subsection (c): 'Any civil legal action against a person to recover administrative fines and costs for any violation of this chapter or any rule adopted under this chapter shall not be deemed to preclude the State from pursuing any criminal action against that person." |
